No battery, no charger and no battery mounting hardware in this kit — bring your own 52V pack. Your bike needs tapered rear dropouts and disc brakes.

Not included: battery, charger, and battery mounting hardware. Those go with the pack, so if you buy a battery from us the rack or straps and the charger come with it.
What battery do I need?
Capacity is up to you. What actually matters is whether the pack can deliver the current.
52V, and check the discharge ratingA 2000W motor pulls around 38A at 52V. Your pack and its BMS have to supply that. Plenty of 52V batteries cannot, and it is the BMS rather than the Ah figure that sets the ceiling.
Rough guideA 40A BMS is marginal. 50A gives about 30% in reserve. A pack rated 1500W to 3000W will be comfortable.

Buying one from usWe stock 52V packs from 20Ah to 30Ah, down tube and frame triangle. Each listing carries its own outline drawing so you can check it against your frame.
Will it fit your bike?
1Check your dropouts — this one matters most.
Take your rear wheel out and look at the slot the axle sits in. You need tapered dropouts to hold this motor securely; a straight vertical slot will not. Unsure? WhatsApp us a photo.
2Match your wheel size.
Read the size off the sidewall of your current tyre — 26", 27.5" or 29" — and pick the matching option above.
3Confirm your brake type.
Built for disc brakes. Rim-brake-only frames are not suitable.
4Check your battery, not just your frame.
See the section above. This is the step people skip, and it is the one that ruins a build.

Questions we get asked
Is the fitting really free?Yes, on any kit bought from us. Bring the bike to 34 Brindley Road, Manchester M16 9HQ between 08:00 and 18:00 — ring 0161 706 1851 first to book a slot. Kits bought elsewhere are £100.
Is this legal on the road?No. A UK electrically assisted pedal cycle is capped at 250W and 15.5mph with pedal assist. This is well past that, so fitted to a bicycle it is not road legal and cannot be used on roads, cycle paths or bridleways. It is sold for private land with the landowner's permission, or motorsport. We would rather tell you plainly than let you find out from a police officer.
Will my existing battery run it?If it is 52V and can deliver around 38A continuously, yes. Send us a photo of the pack label and its BMS rating and we will check before you fit anything.
Does it come with a charger?No. The charger goes with the battery, so there is nothing to charge and nothing to charge it with in this kit.
What about mounting a battery?Racks and straps come with the packs, not with this kit. If you already have a pack you will already have its mount.
Do I need to buy torque arms separately?No, heavy duty ones are included. Fit them — a 2000W rear hub can spin in the dropouts under load, and aluminium dropouts give way before steel does.
How long does fitting take if I do it myself?Two to three hours if you are comfortable removing a rear wheel and a freewheel. You will need two adjustable spanners, an Allen key set and scissors; tyre levers are handy. The wheel arrives built, so the slow part is routing the loom.
What if something fails?Ring 0161 706 1851 or WhatsApp +44 7493 275057. Twelve months on manufacturing defects, and because we are a workshop rather than a warehouse we can usually diagnose a fault from a photo instead of making you post everything back.

This kit is rated well above the 250W and 15.5mph limit that defines an electrically assisted pedal cycle in the UK. Fitted to a bicycle it is not road legal and must not be ridden on public roads, cycle paths or bridleways. Sold for use on private land with the landowner's permission, or for motorsport use. Complying with the law where you ride is your responsibility.
