Will it fit your frame?
1Measure your down tube. This bolts to the bottle bosses, so you need a clear straight run of at least 368 mm with nothing in the way. Your frame needs to be 18" or larger.

2Irregular or downhill frames. If your frame is an unusual shape, cut this outline from cardboard and offer it up before ordering. Two minutes, and it saves a return.
3Check your motor power. This pack is rated 1500W to 2000W. See the section below on what that means before pairing it with a 2000W kit.

What motor does this suit?

Worth reading properly, because the honest answer has two numbers in it.

Rated 30A continuousThat is about 1560W of sustained draw. A 1500W motor sits comfortably inside it all day.
60A maximumThe protection trips at 60A, so there is plenty of room for the surges when you pull away or climb.
On a 2000W kitA 2000W motor pulls around 38A at full throttle, which is above the continuous rating but well below the trip. Fine for normal riding where full power comes in bursts. If you intend to sit on full throttle for long stretches, our 25Ah or 30Ah packs have more headroom and are the better choice.

Our own testing: 17 to 25 miles on throttle alone with no pedalling, 75 kg rider, across the five assist modes. Mode 1 is the most economical.

Pedal along on assist and 30 to 40 miles is realistic. Your weight, the terrain, tyre pressure and the weather all change it — treat these as what to expect, not a best case.

Charging and looking after it
ChargingUse the 3A charger supplied. A full charge from empty takes about six hours. Charge on a hard non-flammable surface, never unattended and never overnight.
Cold weatherCharge it between 0 and 45 C. Do not charge a pack that has come in frozen from a winter ride — let it warm up to room temperature first.
StorageIf the bike is going away for a few weeks, leave the pack around half charged rather than full or flat, somewhere dry and cool.
Stop using it ifthe case is swollen, cracked or dented, the pack gets hot, or it behaves oddly. Move it somewhere safe away from anything that can burn and ring us.
Questions we get asked
Will this run a 2000W kit?Yes, for normal riding. It is rated 30A continuous and trips at 60A, and a 2000W motor pulls about 38A flat out — so bursts of full power are fine, sustained full throttle is asking a lot of it. If that is how you ride, take the 25Ah or 30Ah instead.
Will it fit my down tube?You need a clear straight run of at least 368 mm, a pair of bottle bosses, and a frame of 18 inches or more. Send a photo if you are unsure.
Can I take it off to charge?Yes. It unlocks from the holder with the key and lifts off, so you can charge it indoors and leave the bike outside or in the shed.
How heavy is it?About 5.5 kg, which is our lightest 52V pack. The 25Ah and 30Ah are noticeably heavier.
Can I post it back if it does not fit?Not through the post. Lithium packs this size are restricted goods and travel by road courier only. Ring 0161 706 1851 and we will arrange collection.
What if something fails?Ring 0161 706 1851 or WhatsApp +44 7493 275057. Twelve months on manufacturing defects, and because we are a workshop rather than a warehouse we can usually diagnose a fault from a photo instead of making you send it back.
