Measured on private land, 75kg rider, on the flat. Weight, hills, tyres and wind all change it.

Read this before you order

60mph is motorcycle speed on bicycle parts. The motor and battery will do it. Your forks, brakes, tyres and wheel bearings were designed for a fraction of that, and they are the parts that decide whether a fast run ends well.

What we would insist on: hydraulic disc brakes front and rear, a proper downhill fork, tyres rated well above 45mph, and a full-face helmet with body armour. This is not cautious box-ticking — a blowout or brake fade at 60mph on a mountain bike frame is a serious accident.

If you are not sure your bike is up to it, message us before you buy. We would rather talk you into the 2000W kit than sell you something that outclasses your frame.

What it actually rides like

The number that matters is 80A, not 3000W. The motor is badged 3000W, which is about 42A at 72 volts. But the controller and the battery will both pass 80A — near enough 5760W in a burst. That headroom is where the 60mph comes from, and why this kit feels nothing like a 2000W build with a bigger battery bolted on.

Off the line it is violent in a way the 2000W kits are not. The shove arrives instantly, so the front wheel gets light if you are not deliberate with the throttle.

On hills nothing we sell touches it. There is no sag, no cut-out, no hunting for power on a long climb, because nothing in the chain is running near its limit.

Why 72V rather than a bigger 52V pack. Higher voltage means less current for the same power. 3000W at 72V draws 42A where the same output at 52V would need 58A — less heat in the controller, connectors and wiring. It is why serious builds go up in voltage rather than up in amps.

Range honestly. 20 to 30 miles on throttle alone. Ride it the way it wants to be ridden and it will be nearer 15. This is a power kit, not a distance kit.

Why people pick this one. A different animal entirely. 3000W on 72 volts, an 80A sinewave controller and an 80A BMS behind 80 Samsung cells — so nothing in the system chokes the motor.

Will it fit your bike?
1This is a 72V system. Fully charged the pack sits at 84V. It will not run a 52V controller and it is not an upgrade you drop into an existing 52V build.
2Check your dropouts. Tapered dropouts are essential. At this power a hub motor will chew through anything less, and the torque arms are doing real work.
3Cut the battery shape from cardboard. 40cm along the bottom, 36.5cm top edge, 23cm tall, 8.5cm wide. Needs an 18" or larger hardtail. 365 mm 400 mm 230 mm 85 mm

The sloped nose follows your down tube. Mounting hardware for the frame triangle is in the box.

4Brakes are not optional here. Hydraulic discs front and rear. Cable discs and rim brakes are not adequate for the speeds this kit reaches.

The Bluetooth app

The pack pairs with a free app on Android or iPhone and reports every cell voltage across all 20 groups plus the spread between them, charge level in volts and amp-hours, battery and MOSFET temperature, cycle count, remote charge and discharge cut-off, and live current draw.

Why it matters more on this kit. There is more energy in this pack and more going on inside it — 20 cell groups rather than 14. Being able to watch the spread between them, and see what the motor is actually pulling in amps, is worth having when you are running 80A.
