What it actually rides like

Off the line it pulls hard from standstill without you touching the pedals. A hub motor this size makes its shove low down, so it is the pull away from a stop and up steep starts that surprises people, not the top end.

On hills this pack is rated 1500W to 3000W and trips at 60A, against a motor that asks for about 38A. There is real room above what the motor wants, so it does not sag and cut halfway up a long climb.

At speed it will sit at 45mph on the flat. Most of your riding will be between 25 and 35mph, which is where the range figures come from.

Range honestly. 26 to 37 miles on throttle alone, no pedalling — the furthest of any kit we sell. Pedal along on assist and 45 to 55 miles is normal. Ride it flat out everywhere and it will be nearer 22.

The trade-off. It is the heaviest pack at about 8.5kg and needs an 18" frame. If your bike is smaller, the 25Ah triangle fits 16" and up.

Why people pick this one. The most miles per pound we sell. 1560Wh of LG 21700 cells on the same 2000W motor — and it is the only kit that comes with both a mounting rack and straps, so it fits however your frame is shaped.

Will it fit your bike?
1Check your dropouts first. Take the rear wheel out and look at the slot the axle sits in. You need tapered dropouts. A straight vertical slot will not hold a 2000W hub.
2Cut the battery shape from cardboard. 36cm long, 19.5cm tall, 9.7cm wide. Hold it inside your frame triangle. If it sits in with room to spare, it fits. 360 mm 195 mm 91 mm 132 mm 281 mm 97 mm

Rack and straps are both in the box, so it mounts whichever way suits your frame.

3Frame size. Needs an 18" or larger hardtail. Smaller frame? Our 25Ah triangle pack fits 16" and up.
4Brakes and wheel size. Disc brakes required. Read your tyre sidewall for 26", 27.5" or 29" and pick the matching option.

Read before you buy This kit is rated well above the 250W and 15.5mph limit that defines an electrically assisted pedal cycle in the UK. Fitted to a bicycle it is not road legal and must not be ridden on public roads, cycle paths or bridleways. Sold for use on private land with the landowner's permission, or for motorsport. Charge the battery on a hard non-flammable surface, never unattended and never overnight, and only with the charger supplied.
